Volunteering

The heart of the Brechin Arts Festival is its small army of volunteers who generously give of their time and labour to keep the festival in bloom. In the case of committee members the contribution is all-year round. Other voluntary roles are short-term or more specific and include such diverse help as stewarding festival exhibitions and concerts, catering, assisting in the BAF office, preparing, distributing and displaying publicity material and offering professional advice and support. In 2007 we were very fortunate to enjoy the services of voluntary Assistant Administrator David Cranmer of the University of Lancaster and we hope to be able to offer similar work experience for undergraduate students in 2008.

Volunteering with BAF is fun and a great way to enjoy the arts and to meet people, both familiar faces and new. Volunteers receive free passes for events and complementary BAF gifts designed by top artists. All contributions, no matter how small, are very much appreciated and go towards enriching the creative and community life of the Brechin area.

If you would like to be involved in the festival as a volunteer in any way please contact us for more information.
