Tessa Mendez

Tessa  works with textiles, mostly felt. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association and the East Central Scotland Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers.

Tessa makes bags, hats, slippers, fine felt garments, jewellery, vessels / soft sculptures, `paintings’ in fibres and book covers; Her work is frequently embellished with hand or machine embroidery, beading and wire, each piece is individual.

• 2007 As part of the Brechin Arts Festival at `The Retreat’ Glenesk
• 2007 `Crowning Glories’; one of my hats was selected and is travelling in a two-year, international, touring exhibition with the International Feltmakers Association,
• 2007 November – December `Christmas Exhibition’ Lillie Art Gallery at Milngavie.
• April – December 2007 Crafts of Angus Shop at the House of Dun near Montrose
