Outstanding poet Rachel Fox is from the north of England but has lived in Angus for six years. A huge music fan, Rachel has been reading her poems at Montrose Folk Club since 2006. In summer 2007 she started putting words to music with talented Montrose guitarist and songwriter Verona. Within a couple of months the pair had written about a dozen songs in a variety of styles.

Rachel and Verona have since performed their songs and poems in combination at Montrose Folk Club, Brechin Arts Festival Fringe (2007) and Dundee's Out of the Woods (2008). Their material covers both the comic and the tragic (in the right places) and they provide an extremely entertaining commentary on everyday life - its highs and  its lows.
