Genna
Delaney
Architecture is a major influence in Genna's
work which inspires both geometric forms and organic sculptures. Movement is
also a prominent force where rare coloured stones can be moved along the
labyrinths of her jewellery. Genna's pieces are tactile, playful and sculptural.
Genna enjoys working with precious metals such as silver and gold. However, She
also loves to incorporate non-precious materials such as plastics; glass, resins
as well as stone settings. Genna has a vast range of ideas and uses a variety of
techniques such as riveting, hinging, retriculation and rollering. By using
these techniques She tries to create innovative designs by adjusting them to
suit the needs of her clients, every piece is unique. She is constantly
challenging the boundaries of jewellery design, producing both one off and
commercial pieces. Gena is totally committed to designing and making jewellery
and is extremely eager to get her work out there. She is also happy to take on
commissions.
