‘World-class virtuoso’ (Time Out)

Spanish guitarist and composer Eduardo Niebla is one of the most brilliant and emotive performers on the world circuit today, fusing ‘poignantly poetic and truly fabulous’ (Scotsman) flamenco gypsy jazz with Arabic, Indian, Latin and classical influences to create a truly stunning and exhilarating musical experience.

The seventh son of a seventh son, Eduardo was born in Tangiers to Andalusian parents in 1955. He has been resident in Britain since 1978 and is a powerful force on the international music scene, influencing the trend for fusion and acoustic music across the world whilst always remaining true to his humble roots and performing with an exquisite, heart-rending passion.

Eduardo’s concert appearances have included The Olympic Games in Greece, with tours in Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, India and South Africa all receiving great critical acclaim. His discography is no less impressive and includes 22 CDs of his own compositions. These feature an array of internationally acclaimed musicians, such as bassist Carles Benavent and the spiritual Indian singer and percussionist Paban Das Baul. He has collaborated with many top musicians on their own recordings, including maestro bamboo-flute player Deepak Ram and pop stars Craig David, George Michael and Belinda Carlisle.

For this concert Eduardo will be accompanied by guitarist Carl Herring.
