Adam McNaughtan has been variously reviewed as a ‘Glasgow institution’ and a ‘national treasure’. Involved in the Folk Revival since the late 1950s as singer, researcher and songwriter, and for the last 20 years part of the highlyrespected group Stramash, his songs include The Jeelie Piece Song and Oor Hamlet. His current solo repertoire features Scottish ballads, historical Glasgow material and recently written songs.
What marks a McNaughtan evening is humour and happy endings rather than fashionable gloom. Realism you can get at your ain hoose!

Megan (fiddle) and Ciaran Ryan (banjo and mandolin), All-Britain Slow Air and Banjo Champions respectively, along their father William (whistle, flute and bodhran), perform a stunning range of tunes from Scotland and Ireland. They are joined by long-standing members of the Angus folk scene James Penny (vocals, mandolin and guitar), Mac Nicoll (vocals and guitar) and Iain Milne (banjo). Aged from 13 to 70, this line-up comprises some of the finest traditional musicians in Angus.
