Montrose Embroiderers’ Guild has been passionate about thread for ten years and now has over 70 members. Activities include monthly talks and working parties and thrice-yearly thread-craft ‘schools’ which run on Friday night and all-day Saturday. The group also holds a week-long course at Stirling University each August. All are welcome to any of the events, whether embroiderers or not. An exhibition of the Guild’s work, Passion for Thread, will be housed in the Gardner Memorial Church for the duration of BAF 2007.
