Barbara Misiewicz


Born in Elblag, Poland, in 1986, Barbara Misiewicz started playing the cello at the age of seven, studying under Russian cellist Oleg Studnicki. Now at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, she performs in chamber groups, in symphony and chamber orchestras and as a soloist, playing in Scotland’s grandest venues and with some of the world’s finest musicians. Engagements for this summer include the Mendelssohn on Mull music festival and a solo recital at the Edinburgh International Festival.

 

 

 

Anna Mavromatidi


Anna Mavromatidi was born in Russia and studied the piano at The State Saratov College of Music and Music Conservatoire, specialising in teaching accompaniment and chamber music. After moving to Greece, where she taught and performed extensively, Anna’s further education took her to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She is now a staff member in Piano Department and also a piano teacher for the University of Glasgow and successfully combines teaching with a busy performing schedule.
