'Cornucopia'  a mixed art exhibition from invited artists in The Old Registrars, Brechin and Glenesk Hotel, Edzell

 

Françoise Milne, Rencontre avec l’Ecosse

 

Born in Normandy, France, Françoise Milne travelled all her childhood, following her father, a French naval officer.

She studied many aspects of art both at the Ecole ICART and at La Sorbonne, Paris. Her exhibitions have included those in Martinique and England.

In Scotland she has exhibited at the Royal Botanical Garden and Bournes Fine Art Gallery in Edinburgh.

She signs her work ‘Soize’, a Breton nickname for Françoise.

Susan Thompson, Botanical Studies,

Susan Thompson trained in graphic design before working in advertising. Her black-and-white illustration work included the Blue Guide Scotland. She then went on to study botanical drawing and watercolour at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.Susan has exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, and at the Westminster Gallery and Royal Academy in London. Her work is in collections in North America and in the UK.

John Brazenall, Bronze Cast Sculpture

Edinburgh-born John Brazenall trained at Edinburgh College of Art and the State University of New York, Buffalo.

He has received various awards such as the City of Edinburgh Award (Royal Scottish Academy)

and the Irland Alloys Award to Young Sculptors of Merit (Royal Scottish Academy).

In addition to sculpture, his work includes drawing, painting and teaching.
