Barbara Robertson, Lino-cut workshops

Trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Barbara Robertson has
prints in
public collections throughout the UK and in private collections across the
world. The
various books she has illustrated include Sea-Green Ribbons and The Oath
Takers by
Naomi Mitchison. Her images are striking and often witty and are printed
from blocks
of linoleum using the reduction technique. Although it can take three to
four weeks to
complete a complex print you can enjoy a thorough introduction to the basics
of linocuts
at these workshops (please note there is a charge to cover the cost of
materials).
An exhibition of Barbara’s work will be housed for the duration of BAF 2007
in the
Gardner Memorial Church Hall and also in the Old Registrar’s Office.
